Capacity Building
Throughout my time as an AmeriCorps Volunteer, I partnered with The Center for Jackson Hole to help facilitate the 2018 SH/FT conference. More specifically, I worked as a Zero Waste Coordinator to ensure efficient waste management and diversion at the conference. I worked directly with SH/FT's composting, recycling, and energy offset partners, as well as the conferences venues to create seamless conference-wide waste management. By the end of the conference, I helped diverted over 200 pounds of waste out of the landfill- over 90% of the conference's waste.
Another key project I worked on throughout my service term, was building upon TSS's curriculum library. I aided in the development of many lesson plans as well as creating an entirely novel lesson focusing on American Haiku.
